View from the Tic Toc Diner

This is a 7 X 11 inch watercolour done on Strathmore Watercolour Board. It's pretty straightforward. It's the view crosstown towards the Empire State Building on 34th Street from 8ighth Avenue. It's the view from just outside the doors of The Tic Toc Diner, which is on the ground floor of the New Yorker Hotel. My good friend Mark, who I now work with at the Airlines here in Minneapolis, used to work at the New Yorker, in fact lived there in the employees' dorms. We try to stay there when we travel out to N.Y.C., which is as often as possible. I can't say enough about what a great place New York is. It's so inspiring artistically and otherwise. If you're an artist or simply love art or visual stimulation you must get out there, if you've never been. Everytime I'm there I come home charged with ideas and motivation. This piece is for sale.
